Dr. Mahaman Bachir Saley is the Senior Scientific Officer in charge of Water and Natural resources at the African Union Commission. He is currently the Coordinator of the GMES & Africa Programme. Prior to joining the African Union, he was Senior lecturer at the Centre Universitaire de Recherche et d’Application en Télédétection, Felix Houphouet Boigny University, in Côte d’Ivoire, leading numerous research programmes on the applications of earth observation. He is experienced in working on Water Resources Management, hydrology, Climate Change, Disaster and risk Reduction.
